How to Use
- Start Low: Begin with about half of an 8fl oz cup brewed from 1 tea bag. Experienced kratom drinkers can start with a full cup from 1 bag (3g of leaf). Most people find their amount of plain leaf somewhere between 2g and 5g
- Brew: Place 1 to 2 tea bags in an insulated thermos with 1 to 2 cups of boiling water (205 to 212°F). Close the lid and steep at least 15 minutes
- Adjust: For a fuller cup, steep 10 to 15 minutes longer. Bags can be rebrewed for a second, lighter cup
- Serve: Sweeten to taste and enjoy hot or over ice. Lemon juice also intensifies the brew, though Top Tree doesn't recommend its flavor with this chai. Leave lemon out if you add milk or creamer, since it will curdle

How strong is one cup?
This is plain leaf, so it's measured in grams rather than standardized to mg MIT. Each bag contains 3g of red vein leaf, and Top Tree's serving guide says one steeped cup from a 3g serving holds about 25mg to 45mg total alkaloids. Steep time and water temperature change how much ends up in the cup.
How much should I start with?
Start with about half a cup brewed from 1 bag. If you already know your amount of plain leaf, 1 bag (3g) is a typical starting point. From there, adjust the number of bags (up to the manufacturer's 2 per brew) and the steep time. Always follow the daily limit on the box.
How many servings are in a box?
14 servings at 1 bag each, or 7 servings at 2 bags. Since bags can be rebrewed for a lighter second cup, a box often goes further.
Is Chai Unwind caffeine free?
